Dry Spell...
I wish I had a magic wand that I could wave around, and cast beautiful, plentiful showers of sugar upon sugar land...
...Unfortunately for me, this is far from ever happening...
After my last date, with Mr Fix-It, it seems I have less of a drive to fight for this... Perhaps it's because my RealLife id kicking in... I have tennis practice 6 days a week, for 5 hours a day... And then cheerleading (I am a competitive cheer gal) butts itself into my schedule... That's almost like a part-time job in itself... I'm super tired, and busy... Not to mention, school starts in a couple of days...
*sigh*
It's just a lot... But I don't want to leave Candy Land... I love everything it has to offer, and the excitement. The fact that it's something new... The wonderful and supportive women out there...
I've been trying...but it seems I'm having poor luck in finding anyone lately... No one seems interested... I'm taking the initiative in messaging people... But not much of a bite... It makes me think, perhaps my profile needs an updating... I don't know... I'm just down in the dumps...
I'm also looking for new sites to check out... Any options, let me know...
But, yes... It's all dry and baron here... This cookie needs some warm, sweet milk...

Prioritize, there are definitely things that are more important than Sugar. Sugar should be used to accent life and make it a lil sweeter. I am sure you can take a pause for the cause, get use to your schedule, and then if & when you have time go on a date or two:-)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, the turnover time for most new ladies in The Sugar World is 1-3 months. I put this on KB's blog. If you look at the blog list on the side of my blog you will see a great deal of ladies who gave up out of frustrations and outlandish expectations. Ladies, give up for 3 reasons:
1. They forget that just like the Real World in the Sugar World dudes will lie to try to get what they want, flake when they don't think they will or can't live up to expectations, play games, etc. It is indeed frustrating and sometimes people aren't cut out for the Sugar Hunt & Sugar World.
2. They base their idea of the Sugar World off some talk show or other such bs they saw on tv and don't understand why "If that girl can do it, why can't they? They are just as pretty, if not prettier. They are just as smart, if not smarter." Duh, that's one chick! Not everyone can be her, sometimes it truly boils down to right place, right time.
3. Stank attitudes:-( The whole "I am pretty & young and you are old, fat, & ugly." There is a certain extent to which this can be true in that the reason a SD wants you around is bcuz you are a PYT (amongst other things). But, no reason to have the "you have to give me something before I even show up" attitude. Or you must pay me for my valuable time before you've ever had a SD.
Don't get me wrong I am not saying any of these ARE you...it is just what myself and other SB's have observed about newbies. Also, I wouldn't say you are experiencing a "dry spell", but I would say you are def drained & frustrated...Perhaps, school and your upcoming busy schedule came at a perfect time. It will allow you to switch your focus, release that frustration, recharge, and come back ready to do the damn thang!!
Hey doll face!
ReplyDeleteChin up beautiful! It killed me to read that you are in the dumps. There's no need for that. I agree with Butterfly, get used to your new schedule and sometimes a short break from the sugar hunt can be revitalizing. Then once you get settled in with things, spruce up the profile, and join some new sites. Here are some sites I recently joined:
Arrangementseekers.com - not going so well btw lol. It's also called Establishedmen.com
Wealthymen.com
Millionaire123.com
Always stay positive! I honestly believe that positive thinking will attract good things in your life. I make positivity a lifestyle and practice not easily getting flustered and disappointed. I wanted a new job and all I focused on was getting a new job…then a POT offered me a job within the week. I got a stable SD in less than month of being in the sugar bowl, but I eat, sleep, and breathe sugar. Not saying that you have to be completely consumed in the sugar world, but focusing immense positive thoughts and attitudes toward it will get you results. Don't be easily discourage and learn to shake off the bad experiences like Mr. Fix it off. I had to recently send over 100 messages to get the 3 new POTs that I'm talking to so its definitely not as easily as some of us make it sound.
Go test drive a new car you want and then be determined to find the perfect SD that will gift it to you someday ;-* Can't wait to see you pull up in it girl!
Thank you, both Butterfly and Creole... I've been in the dumps, but both of you are right... I've got to take a step back, and prioritize...
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely not going to give up, especially with you lovelies in my corner...
Thanks always...
